Real estate agents are of two types: buyer’s agent and the seller’s agent.

Buyer Agents
Buyer agent is a person who acts on behalf of the buyer who wishes to buy. They act as per the desire of the buyer and they find the properties listed out in the market for sale.

Sellers Agent
Seller agent is a person who acts as per the desire of the seller. If the seller wants to sell his property, he calls upon the agent to list the property in the market. The agent provides details regarding worth of the property, terms and prices prevailing in the market for your property. They help you while negotiating the transaction and guide you in the final process.

Is licensed required for doing real estate business? Licensed is not an important factor to carry a real estate business. Each has an individual right to buy or sell the property. He/she has to procure license only when they sell or buy the property which does not belongs to him. But a licensed agent is well recognized in the market without any publicity. In United States, a person is required to procure license, to obtain payment for services rendered as a broker. Lawyers are also allowed to act as a broker without procuring any license.
